Saf-instant dry yeast – now with a new, more French packaging...

The beloved product appears in a different packaging in the commercial network, inspired by the colors of the French flag. This autumn, one of the best-known brands of dry yeast on the market in our country – Saf-instant will appear with a new attractive look. Also known in our country as “French yeast”, recognizable until now in a beige packet, Saf will now also externally suggest its origin. Its new packaging is decided in the colors of the French flag, and the perfect quality proven over the years remains unchanged.On the occasion of 50 years since the creation of Saf-instant, the manufacturing company unified the design of all existing packaging around the world using the colors of the French flag. Part of the global campaign is also Saf-instant 11 grams in Bulgaria, which, apart from being distinguished by its long-lasting high quality, will also stand out with its new bright red packaging on store shelves.

The French Instant Dry Yeast Continues to Make History

In 2023, Saf-instant celebrates 50 years since its initial market launch! Authentic and with a rich international history, this instant dry yeast brand has been an integral part of Lesaffre’s portfolio, known and preferred across all continents for decades.

Launched in 1973, Saf-instant is remembered for revolutionizing the global instant dry yeast market with its vermicelli-like shape that requires no rehydration. The technology was groundbreaking for its time-a leading innovation from Lesaffre Group that has inspired and simplified the baker’s life every day.

Many professionals and enthusiasts trust the Saf-instant brand and attest to its quality, while Lesaffre, as a pioneer and expert in fermentation processes, has proudly stood behind it for 50 years.

To celebrate the anniversary of its iconic product, Lesaffre is organizing various activities for both its employees and consumers. By the end of the year, official competitions for amateur and professional bakers will be held worldwide, offering tempting prizes! Lesaffre Bulgaria will also participate.

Baking Center Academy supports Refugee Integration in Bulgaria

Baking Center™ Sofia, part of Lesaffre Bulgaria, has completed an initiative aimed at integrating political refugees by providing them with an opportunity for additional professional qualification in the field of “Bread Production.”

The Baking Center Academy initiative was carried out in partnership with the Bulgarian Red Cross, with whom Lesaffre Bulgaria has a long-standing relationship. Other key partners included the “Rulan” training center and Maria Tsacheva—an instructor and owner of the “Provence” bakery in the village of Chavdar.

“The first graduating class of the academy is now a reality—nine Ukrainians have successfully completed their training and received certificates allowing them to practice their new profession,” Lesaffre Bulgaria announced.

With the official completion of the pilot project of the Baking Center Academy, Lesaffre Bulgaria hopes to further develop the initiative, producing more successful graduates—master bakers who will not only learn a new trade but also contribute to the industry’s growth and bring fresh expertise to the sector.
